Example: I have learned Spanish as an adult through immersion and have been conducting evaluations in Spanish since 1996 after 2 years of living and teaching in Costa Rica. I have extensive knowledge of the literature on neuropsychology of Hispanics and an extensive collection of tests and norms in Spanish. My cultural knowledge comes from living and teaching in many parts of Latin America and Spain and from ongoing connections with Hispanic communities in the US. I teach neuropsychology in Spanish, I teach cross-cultural psychology, and I have published articles on cross-cultural neuropsychology.
